I wanted to personally thank you for the kindness and care you gave my father, J.P. Through the ups and downs of his kidney failure, emergency room visits, hospital stays and dialysis treatments, you all were available when and where I needed you. If it hadn't been for Touching Hearts, my dad wouldn't have been able to remain in his house for as long as he did. You all bent over backwards to make sure he was well taken care of when I was unable to be with him due to work and family responsibilities. And, Cliff, the evening you drove my ailing Dad in wintry rush hour traffic from Gainesville to Georgetown Hospital (when I knew I couldn't manage it) and waited for him several hours is something I'm eternally grateful. It was that visit that turned him back around to dialysis and ultimately put him back on the road to feeling better again. My Dad is 80 and lives in Virginia. His kids and grand kids live in California. After a stroke he had been getting progressively more forgetful and at times exhibited bouts of confusion. It was clear that my Dad needed assisted living but while we were deciding on the right community in California, we needed in-home care immediately to assist him with medication support, meal preparation, and light house keeping.

After using another service in Virginia that we found pretty inflexible, we switched to Touching Hearts. We had some very specific requirements as to the type of personality my Dad would respond to as well as specific hours which were outside what other care giving establishments offered. We found Touching Hearts to be very responsive to our needs. They met with my family to determine our requirements and did an outstanding job of cherry picking the right personalities that we felt my Dad needed. In addition, they worked within our schedule requirements, not the other way around. If there was a transition in the care givers working with my Dad, they notified us immediately. Touching Hearts was also very conscientious in alerting us to any health or other related issues my Dad was exhibiting. They were exceedingly responsive to my Dad needs and all of our family's requests.

I highly recommend Touching Hearts and are a solid 10 on my book. They are a refreshingly professional care giving company that treated our family like their own. I don't know what we would have done without them.
