Home Care Coordinator Position Available-August 2011
Friday - Monday with shortened weekend hours!
We are looking for a very reliable, honest and outgoing person with strong organizational skills and able to adapt to a changing environment. Candidate must have excellent communication and multi-tasking skills. Candidate must be a self starter and able to work independently and be available for on-call four week nights a month. Medical office and/or scheduling skills a plus!! Knowledge of HomeTrak or other comparable scheduling software also a plus!! This is considered a full-time position, working ONLY 4 days a week, with shortened hours on Saturdays and Sundays and on-call with the phone.. Duties and Responsibilities:- Maintains/manages scheduling and organizing of Caregivers for clients.- Assists with training and orientation – Assists with interviews for employment.- Ad hoc projects for Director and Owner – Answers phones and directs calls – On-Call Friday nights and weekends – Fills in with clients out in the field when needed.- Performs miscellaneous duties and services as needed. – Organizes all client information and employee files. Touching Hearts at Home Achieves Joint Commission Accreditation
April, 2011, Chantilly, VA Touching Hearts at Home, Northern Virginia recently completed its accreditation process with the Joint Commission and earned the 'Gold Seal of Approval'™. Touching Hearts underwent a rigorous on-site survey in February, 2011. A team of Joint Commission expert surveyors evaluated Touching Hearts for compliance with standards of care specific to the needs of patients, including infection prevention and control, emergency management, leadership and medication management.

Thanks for Helping our Team at the 2009 Alzheimer's Memory Walk
October 2009, Washington, D.C. - Thanks to all of you that supported our second Alzheimer's Memory Walk last month! Over 2,300 walkers participated on the Mall in Washington, D.C. It was a great turnout with lots of encouragement, food, and exciting stories. Total donations for all local groups exceeded $700,000 this year and with over 5 million people living with Alzheimer's, that money will be put to very good use! On behalf of the millions of Americans who are living with Alzheimer's, thank you for supporting our efforts.
